Where are we?
End Cottage lies in the heart of the South Hams between Totnes and Dartmouth. Facing south on the outskirts of the village, it is last in a terrace of three, overlooking farmland and the ruined entrance of the Abbey. The cottage is set back from the lane and has a large terraced front garden. At the back is parking for 4 cars and a newly formed garden. An Orchard of apples and plums has been planted, above which there is a large level lawn. Closer to the house I have sown an annual wildflower mix. Cornworthy is a quite village with no passing traffic, it has a village shop which opens on Saturdays and The Hunters Lodge Inn which specialises in food made from fresh local produce.
From the cottage there are many circular walks along green lanes and footpaths. A short distance away is Bow Creek, a wooded tributary of the river Dart. Dittisham which is famous for its plums and crabbing is 2 miles away.
